CASTED: Plastics

CASTED: Plastics

This practical, high-yield 2-day course will help you manage complex lacerations and hand injuries in the ED.

Day 1 is online to review principles and manage numerous challenging cases that you might see on your next shift.

Day 2 is hands-on to practice the skills discussed in Day 1.

Cases, demonstrations, then supervised hands-on practice.

This course covers tons of pearls and pitfalls with hand injuries – where misdiagnosis and maltreatment abound for ED physicians and practitioners. Review anatomy, understand how to examine for tendon injuries, and see a demo of a tendon repair, and then it’s hands-on practice.

Nail-bed lacerations, vermillion border injuries, pinna, eyebrow and other facial lacerations – all will be covered. Again, cases, demos and practice.

Proper ED splinting and dressing will be reviewed in detail.

Hand infections, fractures, amputations, approach to major hand trauma and deep wounds. All will be covered in this practice-changing 2-day course.

What you do in the ED makes a difference! CASTED: Plastics offer tons of tips and tricks to use on your next shift.
